The Hyatt Place Keystone is an upscale select service hotel offering 103 guestrooms, an open food market with made-to-order meals and snacks available around the clock, free WiFi, and a well-equipped fitness center. We cater to the multitasking traveler with a 24/7 lifestyle, creating a modern, comfortable, seamless experience. Hyatt Place Keystone in the Rocky Mountains is steps away from the Mountain House base of Keystone Ski Resort, minutes away from the main River Run Village of Keystone Ski Resort and close proximity to the Keystone Conference Center.

The Assistant Front Office Manager will assist management in the day-to-day operation of the front desk; providing leadership by training, scheduling, and ensuring service levels are in accordance with Hyatt Place and Vail Resorts Hospitality standards.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):**

+ Assisting in the training and development of associates in order to increase their productivity, through department meetings and other levels of awareness.

+ Assisting in properly screening and hiring new associates to maintain staffing requirements for the Hyatt Place Gallery, focusing on guest service oriented people.

+ Offering feedback to the Front Office Manager that would assist in conducting performance evaluations of associates in order to enhance their performance and to develop improvement plans for those associates who do not meet standards.

+ Meeting room set up and tear down as per BEO (Banquet Event Order) details and brand standards.

+ Scheduling associates taking into account forecasting and labor budget.

+ Assigning work tasks to the Gallery Team and follow up on their completion.

+ Coaching and counseling associates.

+ Supervising proper cleanliness standards are maintained in the front of the house areas. (i.e. front desk, back office, storage closets, dry cleaning closet and public restrooms).

+ Assisting in promoting and developing a successful cross-training program within the Front Office Staff to ensure labor savings and increased productivity.

+ Managing the inventory and overall success of the Market.

+ Ensuring brand standards for service, communication, grooming and training are met for Hyatt Place and Vail Resorts.

+ Communicating throughout the department to foster teamwork.

+ Assisting FOM in developing and implement training to address specific areas of improvement within areas of responsibility to ensure results meet or exceed targets.

+ Acting as the "Manager on Duty" in order to effectively resolve guest issues and complaints in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

+ Maintaining accurate and adequate inventories of front office supplies.

+ Training and operate the Night Audit and graves agent shifts and responsibilities.

+ Other duties as assigned; general accounting, inventory ordering and controls.


+ High School Diploma or GED - required

+ One year experience as a Gallery Host at Hyatt Place or similar front desk/front office experience - required

+ One year banquet or conventions experience - preferred

+ Schedule flexibility - must be able to work any shift including on weekends and holidays- required

+ Must be detail oriented and enjoy working with the public - required

+ Outstanding customer service and communication skills - required

+ Ability to work well with other associates and enjoy as a team - required

+ Previous supervisory experience preferred

+ Must be able to stand for more than 2 hours at a time without sitting - required

Must be 21 years of age with valid Colorado Driver License - required
